New Voigtlander SL-II Lens Series with Nikon chip!

40/2 or 58/1.4 $379!

Manual Focus Nikon AIS or Pentax KA with metering chip

IN STOCK!

November 1st 2007: Cosina introduced the new Voigtlander SL II 40/2 and 58/1.4 lenses for digital and film Nikon and Pentax KA SLRs  These new manual focus lenses have the computer chips necessary for meter compatibility with current Nikon and Pentax DSLRs.   Hopefully more SL II lenses will follow.  Both are new versions of the previous SL I series 40/2 and 58/1.4 Topcor (SL I Info Here).

Left to Right:  Voigtlander 40/2, 50/1.4 AF Nikkor, Voigtlander 58/1.4

The big news for Nikon fans is the CPU matrix metering chip in the new SL-II mount Nikon AIS lenses -- a first for Voigtlander.    The availability of new quality Nikon mount prime lenses will be HUGE deal for Nikon fans, since Nikon has discontinued many single focal length prime lenses.

Outstanding Performance!

The Nokton 58/1.4 is a revised version of Cosina's 2003 limited edition 58/1.4 Topcor -- a quick sell out with only 1600 available world wide.  With its beautiful image quality, it went on to become a highly sought favorite in the Japanese home market.

Some owners of first production run Voigtlander 58/1.4 SLII lenses in Nikon mount (not Pentax KA) have reported overexposure problems on digital or AF Nikon SLRs.   If you are having such problems with a lens purchased from CameraQuest, please return it to me,  so I can forward it on to the factory for adjustment.  The lens will be returned to you.    This problem has been corrected.

Alas, the long rumored Voigtlander SL II 4-10,000/f.7 SuperSizedNoctNoct lens is not yet ready for the marketplace.  Unconfirmed reports say the megalens was blown over by high winds, unfortunately destroying Nagano's 1998 Winter Olympic Stadium.
